Behshahr ways include terrestrial, marine and air ways.
Terrestrial Ways: International Tehran-Mashad highway which passes among Behshahr, presents it as a side-way tourism city to get to Holy Mashad. But except Abbas-Abad and Zaghmar Sea , yet the other historical and recreational places of Behshahr are not well exploited. Gorgan-Tehran railway passes northern part of Behshahr and during the present years, it facilitates the connection from Khazar Sea to the South by installing a new line of Rostamkala station to Amir-Abad port. Air Ways: No important use is obtained from Behshahr's main airport yet and it is just the airway for spraying planes. But Sari_Mashad and Sari_Eshgh-Abad airlines (Dashte Naz airport) which pass across this province is considered as Behshahr's airway. Marine Ways: By generating Amir-Abad port, import and export with middle-east countries and late-independent Republics is facilitated. But undoubtedly we should notice that Behshhr, in spite of all the sites and organizations, is still an undeveloped city, with an old texture and most importantly with a large unemployed population. It is hoped that the officials take this city into consideration.
Industry at Behshahr
Industry at Behshhar has enormously developed during the recent years. History of industry at Behshahr dates back to the time before Pahlavi period. Behshahr industries at that time included a small system which was constructed as gin known as “Asghar Kalimi” factory by “Haj Mohammad Hassan Hojatti” grandson to the famous Hojjat-ol-Eslam Mazandarani. Bahshahr industries increased to its maximum during Reza Shah Period. Founding two factories, cocoon suffocation and drying at 1318 and gin at 1316, was the turnoff in industry at Behshahr. Of course we should not neglect the role of “cane” factory which has traces in the cane organization. Presence of these traces reveals Behshahr's old industry better. At 1331 solar year Behshahr Industrial Joint stock Company in front of Safi-Abad Palace started producing oil, with the help of Decedent “Haj Seyyed Mahmood Lajeverdi” who was among well-known merchants. A gin factory was also at Rostam Kala which was founded by Decedent “Haj Seyyed Karim Rostam kalayee”. He had also founded a camlet-threshing factory at Rostam kala. Also, Ali-Tappe flour-pounding factory which was founded at 1321 solar year by “Abbas Ali Yousefi Damavandi” and Behshahr chintz factory which was established at 1315 solar year under the command of “Reza Shah Pahlavi” were the preliminaries to developing industry at Behshahr. At the moment, by founding Behshahr Industrial Town Company at the airport road (Behshahr connection to Ghare Tappe and Zaghmarz) in which about 20 factories are working and Amir-Abad multi-purpose port, industry in Behshahr has enormously developed and has become the connection among Iran and middle-east countries strategically.
